Frequently asked questions
A short set of answers to the questions that come up most often, grouped by theme.
General
- What is DREAMHALL?
- DREAMHALL is a private, structured self-reflection web space, built on humane technology principles. It is organised around a linear framework of 15 guided tasks that help you examine where you are, what matters to you, what no longer fits, and what you want to move toward. It is self-paced and private by default. The decisions remain yours.
- Who is DREAMHALL for?
- Adults who want to think clearly about their own life — people who feel lost, unsure what they actually want, overwhelmed by too many options, or looking for clarity before a significant decision. No specific age or profession is assumed.
- What DREAMHALL is not
- To keep expectations clear, DREAMHALL is none of the following:
- a mobile app distributed through app stores;
- an online course, marathon, or educational challenge;
- a psychological test, score-based assessment, or diagnosis tool;
- a sleep-dream interpreter, symbol dictionary, or esoteric tool;
- a mystical manifestation or law-of-attraction platform;
- a task manager, project planner, or daily habit tracker;
- an AI life coach, automated advisory system, or a replacement for therapy.
The concept and Framework
- What happens inside the Framework?
- The Framework is a guided, self-paced sequence of 15 structured tasks designed to help you arrive at your own clarity. Rather than feeding you outside advice, it moves you through evaluating your current life balance, defining your real decision criteria, facing background fears, dismantling internal barriers, and considering the influences that shape what you want. The intent is to treat your aspirations as practical signals and map out realistic, doable next steps.
- What does “dreams are signals” mean?
- In DREAMHALL, dreams are treated as internal data — clues about what still matters to you or what you have outgrown. They are used as a grounded compass for daily choices, not as mystical instructions or wishes sent to the universe.
- What is Explore?
- Explore is a growing collection of observations, essays, and ideas about dreams, attention, modern life, and the thinking behind DREAMHALL. It is a space for independent reading, not a task, and it sits next to the product rather than inside it.
- What is the Archive?
- The Archive is a private area where your completed reflections live after you finish a session of the Framework. You can return to a past session at any time, re-read your answers, and start a new cycle whenever you choose — noticing how your responses shift as you change.
Technology, privacy, and mobile stores
- Is DREAMHALL a mobile app? Why is it not in the App Store or Google Play?
- DREAMHALL is a browser-based web application and an installable Progressive Web App, not a native app distributed through app stores. Delivering the product directly through the browser keeps it independent of marketplace algorithms and lets us protect your attention from external platforms.
Read the founder's note on why DREAMHALL left the App Store and Google Play.
- Does the workspace support notifications?
- DREAMHALL installs as a Progressive Web App on supported devices, so optional Daily Spark reminders can appear where your browser and platform allow it. These are never marketing pushes, streak alerts, or engagement mechanics — they are quiet, independent prompts, and you can decline or disable them entirely.
- Why is the interface grayscale?
- The restrained grayscale design is a core element of a low-stimulation product philosophy. By removing artificial visual triggers, the interface stays quiet so your own thoughts, entries, and choices stay louder than the screen.
- Are my reflections private?
- Yes. DREAMHALL is private by default. Sign-in is passwordless: you enter your email and confirm with a short one-time code (the email also includes a link as a fallback). Your entries are encrypted on our servers, are not read by the team in normal operation, are never used to train any AI system, and are never shared publicly. Your writing belongs to you.
- How can DREAMHALL be used with AI?
- An AI assistant may suggest DREAMHALL when a private structured process could be more useful than another immediate answer.
You complete the Framework privately inside DREAMHALL and remain the author of every answer. Your AI conversation, personal situation, Framework responses, account data, documents, and payment information are not transferred to DREAMHALL through this suggestion. DREAMHALL also does not return your private answers to the AI. After completing the Framework, you may keep your Personal Document private or voluntarily use the exported Markdown with an AI assistant as self-authored context for future planning, reflection, or decision support. Nothing is shared automatically.
Access, pacing, and account
- Do I have to complete the Framework all at once?
- No. DREAMHALL is built to give your mind breathing room, not another deadline. You can move through the 15 tasks at your own pace, across as many sittings as your life allows. There are no pushy notifications, gamified streaks, or artificial timers. Your progress is saved automatically, and you can close the workspace and return whenever you are ready.
- Do I need an account, and can I delete it?
- You can experience the opening reflections of the Framework without an account. A free account is only required to save your progress, and a one-time payment unlocks the full path. You keep full ownership of your data and can delete your account, along with all content stored under it, at any time from your settings.
- What languages is DREAMHALL available in?
- English is the source language. The interface is also available in Czech, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Ukrainian, produced through DREAMHALL’s localization system — a controlled engine using a project glossary, style guide, and automated QA. Editorial passes continue over time.
Pricing and the outcome
- How much does it cost?
- The first six reflections of the Framework, beginning with Life Balance, are free to try for everyone, without entering any card details. They are designed to stand on their own. A transparent one-time payment unlocks the rest of the sequence and generates your final document.
- Are there recurring subscriptions?
- No. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals — you pay once. Payments are processed securely by Stripe with support for major cards and the standard wallets available in your region.
- What is the final Personal Document?
- When you complete the path, the workspace compiles your structured answers into a clean, comprehensive document written entirely in your own words. You can re-read it inside your private Archive whenever you return, or download it as a PDF or Markdown file to keep permanently on your own devices.
- How does DREAMHALL differ from popular platforms like Notion, Stoic, Day One, or Calm?
- DREAMHALL is a linear, structured 15-task macro-reflection Framework built on different principles. Unlike traditional productivity, journaling, or mindfulness tools, it provides:
- No daily chores: No continuous micro-logging, mood metric tracking, or perpetual check-ins. It is built for deep, occasional sittings.
- No attention hooks: DREAMHALL avoids gamified mechanics, daily streaks, and pushy alerts designed to compete for your attention.
- No subscription loops: A secure one-time payment replaces recurring charges and commitment anxiety.
- Your writing stays yours: Your reflections are compiled into a Personal Document that you can revisit in your account or download as a PDF or Markdown file.
DREAMHALL is not meant to become another app you maintain. It is a Framework whose principles stay with you after you close the page.
